Improve the Taxonomy
Help us refine the metaphysical systems.
This project is an open-source effort to map the landscape of metaphysical thought. We strive for accuracy and neutrality, but we know there is always room for improvement.
The core of our taxonomy is the tetralemma, a four-cornered logical structure. For every metaphysical dimension, a position is evaluated as: A, B, both A and B, or neither A nor B. This structure creates a shared high-dimensional space where we can measure the conceptual distance between different worldviews.
We recognize that projecting highly subtle metaphysical systems onto this simplified grid is a reductionist exercise. While it provides a useful tool for comparison, it cannot capture every nuance, and some classifications may feel like approximations.
If you see ways to make these mappings more accurate, find issues with any of the entries, disagree with a classification, or would like to suggest improvements or new systems, we encourage you to get involved.
All contributions will be reviewed and taken into consideration for future updates.
